Groware Mobile Apps

As leaders in the field of software development for the Grower and Nursery market, Groware has been well placed to apply their expertise and knowledge of the market to the development of mobile apps.

Groware has a range of mobile apps already developed and many more currently in development. Our apps leverage mobile device features such as photo capture, barcode scanning, GPS location to create apps for both Android phone/tablet and iPhone/iPad that work with databases both on the device itself and on central web-hosted databases.

Some of our apps are designed are designed as stand alone apps, independent of the Groware range of software, some are designed to integrate with Groware and some can be used either independently or as part of a Groware system.

Here are some examples of the apps we are launching at the moment:

FieldHand

"Pioneering!"

"Ground breaking!"

"An innovation that is set to save growers millions in pesticide costs and spare the environment huge amounts of chemicals."

FieldHand enables growers to pinpoint outbreaks of pests and other factors that affect crops, using the GPS co-ordinates of a mobile phone or tablet. This means the grower can direct their spraying actions to a defined geolacted zone. This can mean that, instead of spraying a 200 acre field, they instead spray a 20 metre circle.

FieldHand has an import/export facility to enable the user to populate lookup tables which facilitate faster data input. Lookup tables include Products, Locations, Issue Types, resolution Types and Ready Dates.

As well as displaying satellite maps on each Issue record, FieldHand has a useful mapping screen which displays all recorded issues on a single map in order to assist with resolution planning and management.

LocationCounter

LocationCounter is an app which works with a central web database to provide real time stock taking data to a team of users.

LocationCounter lists locations, which the user selects from. The app then presents the user with a list of products that are recorded in the central inventory database for that location. The user can select an app from this list, or by scanning a barcode using the camera on their device as a scanner. The app then presents the user with data for that product item and allows the user to update certain data such as onhand, committed and available quantities as well as enabling the stocktaking user to record a comment for the inventory item.

LocationCounter has inventory line splitting and new item features in order to enable the stocktaking user to account for varying ready dates within a stock lot and also to record any items the user finds in the field location that are not already in the online inventory database.

LocationCounter enables the user to take a photo of the stock item, or choose a photo from the device's galleries, which it uploads to the web server as a visual record of the item.

LocationCounter  records the GPS location co-ordinates for the stock item, so it's location may be more exactly recorded.

EasyStock

EasyStock is a standalone app that works with a database located on the local device (i.e. the phone or tablet). It may be used as a stand alone tool or in conjunction with Groware.

EasyStock lists stock items by Location or Category. The user can create new stock records or edit existing records, entering data such as SKU, Description, Location, Category, Price, Available/Committed/Onhand quantities, Ready date, Comment.

Easystock enables the user to take a photo of the stock item, or choose a photo from the device's galleries, which it uploads to the web server as a visual record of the item.

Easystock records the GPS location co-ordinates for the stock item, so it's location may be more exactly recorded.

Easystock has the ability to export the stock database to a csv file which the user may transfer to his PC by connecting the device via USB. New inventory can also be imported to the app as a csv file by placing the file back in the data directory on the device in a similar fashion.
